On 16 – 22 November 2015, for the second year in a row, the capital city will be hosting Vilnius Gastronomy Week, during which restaurants will open their doors to everyone willing to learn about fine dining, culinary trends, professionalism of chefs.
Following the tradition, November will become a month of new culinary discoveries. Vilnius residents and city guests will be invited to relish the most delicious events of the year: Baltic Food and Beverage Exhibition BAF and the second Vilnius Gastronomy Week.
Thematic Excursions on “Old Culinary Delights in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania” will happen during this week at the National Museum – Palace of Grand Dukes of Lithuania, with a lecure by Dr. Rimvydas Laužikas from Vilnius University on the question of “Can historical cuisine in Lithuania be attributed to the Mediterranean region?”
